For me, it has to be buying my house just before COVID arrived in 2020 and turned the whole world into one big indoor gathering!
At the time, pulling all my money together for the down payment felt like financial gymnastics. My bank account was crying, my savings were gasping for air, and I was questioning every life decision I had ever made.
But the interest rate was reasonable, and looking back, I am so glad I took that bold step. When lockdown began, I was not only staying at home—I was staying in my own home! Suddenly, all those monthly payments and down-payment sacrifices felt worth it.
It remains one of the best decisions I have ever made. Sometimes, the purchase that scares your bank account today may become the blessing you thank yourself for tomorrow.
What is the best purchase you have ever made—and did your bank account forgive you?
