Daily writing prompt
What’s the weirdest coincidence you’ve ever experienced?

Some experiences stay with you forever—not because you understand them, but because you don’t.

Before my mum passed away, something happened to me that I still struggle to explain.

My mum and I were living in different countries, thousands of miles apart. Yet one day, I suddenly saw her sitting right in front of my porch.

For a brief moment, everything felt strange and still. I felt almost like I was in a trance. I could see her so clearly that I remember wondering, “Am I really seeing this?”

And then, just like that, the moment was gone.

At the time, I didn’t know what to make of it. I probably would have laughed and said, “Mummy, how did you get here without telling me?” But after she passed away, that memory took on a completely different meaning.

Sometimes I wonder if it was simply my imagination. Was my mind playing tricks on me? Was it an unbelievable coincidence? Or was it one of those mysterious moments in life that we may never fully understand?

I honestly don’t know.

What I do know is that I will never forget it.

Losing my mum made me treasure that strange experience even more. For just a few seconds, although an ocean separated us, she felt incredibly close to me.

Life is funny like that. It can give you a moment with absolutely no explanation, no warning, and apparently no customer-service department to call and ask, “Excuse me, what exactly was that?” 😅

Maybe some moments are not meant to be explained. Maybe they are simply meant to be remembered.

And this is one memory of my mum that will stay in my heart forever. ❤️

Stay blessed!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
