Daily writing prompt
What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind?

Hey friends, for a long time, I believed that my ultimate trip should be all about hitting as many places as possible. So my vacation period would be packed full of flights, trains, and a ton of must-see spots. But as I grew older, I’ve had a change of mind!

I just discovered the concept of slow travel—the idea that longer, immersive trips bring deeper joy than short bursts of sightseeing. Instead of rushing to “see it all,” travelers are choosing to stay longer in fewer places. They’re immersing themselves in the culture, connecting with locals, and letting each destination breathe.

This change of mindset taught me that travel isn’t just about movement—it’s about meaning. It’s less about ticking boxes and more about creating stories and memories that last.

I’m really hoping to have an awesome slow trip soon!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
