Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

A positive example of when I’ve felt truly loved? Easy.
Any day my husband cooks. 😄

Baked chicken from Hubby!

There’s something deeply comforting about walking into the kitchen and realizing, “Wait… I didn’t cook this?” Love, in my house, sometimes smells like stew, jollof, or a well-seasoned surprise I didn’t ask for but gladly accept. It’s not just the food—it’s the care behind it. The quiet message that says, “Sit down. I’ve got you.”

And then there are my kids. Oh my goodness.
Their love makes me feel like the most important person in the room—daily. From random hugs, loud laughter, to those unplanned “Mom, I love you” moments that come when I’m least prepared (and sometimes most tired). They have a way of loving that’s pure, loud, and very consistent. No calendar invites needed.

I’ve learned that love doesn’t always come wrapped in grand gestures.
Sometimes it’s a warm meal.
Sometimes it’s sticky hands around your neck.
Sometimes it’s just being home.

Home is love.
Messy, noisy, imperfect… and absolutely beautiful.

Peace!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
