Ah, the age-old question: “How do you feel about eating meat?”
Honestly? It’s a tricky one. Because while some people get emotional about love, or a good plot twist in a Nollywood movie… I get emotional about red meat. 😂
Don’t judge me, a perfectly seasoned, tender, juicy piece of steak can make me forget my problems faster than a motivational quote on a Monday morning. But here’s the catch: as much as I love red meat, I’ve learned to enjoy it in moderation. Why? Because our bodies are wonderfully dramatic sometimes. One minute they’re like, “Yesss, give me suya!” and the next minute they’re reminding you about things like cholesterol, inflammation, and all those fancy medical terms you didn’t ask for. 😩
So now I’ve become one of those responsible adults who keeps telling people,
“I eat red meat… but gently. Softly. Once in a while. Not every day!”
Because I still want to enjoy it without creating a personal episode of Medical Emergency: My Own Edition.
At the end of the day, I believe food is meant to be enjoyed — just wisely. Life is too short to cut out everything that brings joy… but also too precious to ignore what your body is quietly whispering:
“Ehn ehn, don’t overdo it.” 😄
So yes, I love red meat. I just love my health more. The balance? Moderation, a good sense of humor, and maybe a bottle of water nearby… just in case. 😂
What about you — how do you feel about eating meat?
