Two women have been charged with murdering and dismembering a man in Washington D.C, with one of them using his severed thumb to steal money from his bank account to lavish on rides, marijuana, and booze, as court documents and police revealed.
Tiffany Taylor Gray, 22, was arrested in Maryland earlier in July 2024 on a warrant for first-degree murder while armed for the killing of 53-year-old Fasil Teklemariam. He was found dead inside his apartment in Washington, D.C., on April 5, 2024, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
One witness stated that Gray worked as a sex worker and described Teklemariam as her “sugar daddy.” However, the police have not verified those claims, as an MPD spokesperson tells Fox News Digital.
Teklemariam, a married father of two, according to a GoFundMe page, was found inside his Peabody Street home with stab wounds, multiple blunt-force fractures to his head, and missing his right thumb.
Broken glass was found around his body and on his bed. Forensic detectives also discovered that cleaning agents had been used to hide some evidence at the scene, as stated in an arrest affidavit. The specific details concerning his death have not been revealed at this time.
A witness informed the police that Teklemariam’s thumb was used to access a finance app on his stolen cellphone to purchase liquor and drugs. However, Teklemariam’s thumb and cell phone have not yet been recovered.
Police have mentioned that Gray, along with two women and two men, is one of the four suspects being investigated in this case.
