What makes a good neighbor?

When I think about what makes a good neighbor, a few sweet memories come to mind.

I remember once finding my neighbor’s dog wandering on the street and gently leading him back home—it felt good knowing I could look out for him. Another time, I walked an elderly lady from our neighborhood back to her house because she simply needed some company on the way. And then, there was the day I came back from a trip only to realize my next-door neighbor had kindly closed my garage door that I had forgetfully left wide open.

Moments like these remind me that neighbors aren’t just people who live next door. They’re everyday helpers, silent guardians, and sometimes unexpected friends. We don’t always notice it, but those little acts of kindness—whether giving or receiving—are what make a community feel like home.

✨ At the end of the day, good neighbors make life just a little bit easier, safer, and warmer.

Treat others the way you’d love to be treated. Peace!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
