Congratulations to Spain, the new World Cup champions! 🇪🇸🏆

Personally, I believe the better team won. Spain looked sharper, more confident, more organized and much more determined throughout the final. They played like a team that genuinely wanted to lift the trophy.

Argentina, on the other hand, looked unusually passive. Where was the fire? Where was the aggression? Where was that fighting spirit we normally see from them?

At some point, it felt as though Argentina were waiting for the match to happen instead of taking control of it. This was the World Cup final, not a friendly match where everyone shakes hands and goes home!

And Messi? Please, Messi fans, don’t drag me—but I found his performance underwhelming. We all know what he is capable of, which is exactly why I expected more from him. I kept waiting for that magical Messi moment: one brilliant pass, one unstoppable run or one goal that would completely change the game.

Unfortunately, the magic never really arrived.

Of course, football is a team sport, and Argentina’s defeat cannot be blamed on Messi alone. The entire team lacked urgency and attacking intensity. Spain controlled the rhythm, kept pushing and eventually got the goal their performance deserved.

Argentina may have had the bigger superstar, but Spain had the better team on the day—and that is what won them the World Cup.

Congratulations, Spain! They came, they played and they conquered. 🇪🇸👏
