Growing up, holidays for me meant chaotic family gatherings, visitors popping in and out like they were on a game show, and a marathon of cooking by the ladies in the family. Holidays kicked off with me waking up at the crack of dawn—because who needs sleep?—to start cooking like I was preparing for a feast worthy of royalty, which dragged on until late afternoon. By the time I have finish serving guests, I would be tired and exhusted. So, for me, a holiday was basically a rollercoaster of joy and stress… fast forward to now, and my holidays are a luxurious escape, featuring beach visits, sleepovers with snacks galore, and enough time with friends to ensure I don’t know what day it is!
Peace!
