If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

If I could make my pet understand just one thing, it would be this:

“I love you deeply… but not every sound means danger.”

In my imagination, my pet suddenly looks at me, crosses their paws, and talks:

“Wait… so the doorbell isn’t an emergency?
The mailman is not my sworn enemy?
And when you leave the house, you’re actually coming back?!”

YES. Exactly that. 😄

I’d explain that my love doesn’t disappear when I grab my keys, that vacuum cleaners are not monsters from another planet, and that sleeping in the middle of the bed is not part of the lease agreement.

But honestly, the one thing I’d want them to truly understand is this:

“You are safe. You are loved. And you are family.”

If pets could understand that, they’d probably still do the same silly things—just with a little more peace… and maybe less barking.

Maybe.

Peace!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
