My mornings depend on one simple question:
Am I on night shift… or off duty?
Because those are two completely different lives.
Night Shift Days: Survival Mode
After work, I come home exhausted—like I just fought for my life (I basically did).
I shower to reset, eat like my body is confused but thankful, and then attempt sleep… while the sun and the entire world decide it’s the perfect time to be loud.
It’s not glamorous—but it works.
Off Days: Peace Mode
On my off days, I sleep in without guilt.
No alarms. No rush. Just rest.
Eventually, I get up, handle a few chores, and then ease into the day—movies, reading, or just enjoying stillness.
Nothing fancy. Just necessary.
The Real Lesson
My routine isn’t perfect—and that’s okay.
Some days are about pushing through.
Other days are about slowing down.
And I’ve learned this:
Your routine doesn’t have to look good—it just has to take care of you.
Final Thought
Whether I’m starting my day or ending it, one thing stays the same:
I keep showing up.
And honestly… that’s enough.
I hope that is enough for you, too.
Peace!
