Describe a family member.

The family member who inspires me most is my grandmother. She has this quiet strength about her that I’ve always admired. Growing up, I often watched her wake up before sunrise to pray, cook, and get the family ready for the day. Even when life threw challenges her way, she never complained. Instead, she carried herself with so much grace, reminding us that no storm lasts forever.

What inspires me most is her resilience. She didn’t have many opportunities when she was younger, but she made sure her children—and even her grandchildren—had the chance to pursue their dreams. She is also one of the kindest people I know. She will give her last meal to someone in need and still wear a smile on her face.

Whenever I feel like giving up, I remember her words: “Keep moving forward, even if it’s just one small step.” Her life is a living lesson in patience, faith, and unconditional love, and I hope to carry those values with me always.

Peace!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
