Dogs or cats?

Not a cat fan so… I am a dog lover! I believe dogs are human best friends as they are sincerely loyal and can understand and read human emotions, at least for the most part.

But there is a dog breed I am fearful of; though they are loyal and protective, their brutality is top-notch!

The Rottweilers are strong, with a good muscle build, and they are good guard dogs. Some years ago, I had two dogs. One is a Rottweiler named “Sports,” and the other is an Aussie named “Arsenal.” These two dogs were so much fun to be with, but to strangers who were not part of our compound, they were a “dangerous park,” thereby making them an additional layer of security against intruders.

So, on this fateful day, while I was a tenant at my former apartment, my landlord also had an apartment in the building and would visit every couple of months. One day, both dogs were in the compound when my landlord came for a visit. They staged a rather dramatic performance, deciding to give my landlord a playful welcome by marking his behind. I panicked and yelled at “Sport” to stop, feeling like the doggy showdown lasted for an eternity, even though it was just a few seconds. Thankfully, my landlord emerged unscathed and mercifully decided not to press any legal charges. However, I solemnly swore off keeping Rottweilers ever again. Despite this misadventure, I still consider myself a dog lover! While I don’t have one now, I’m already making plans to welcome a new furry friend soon.

Peace!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
