Daily writing prompt
How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

When the world slowed down during COVID-19, many people had to completely reinvent their routines, habits, and even their personalities.

But Me?

Hmmm… not so much.

I’ve always been a bit of an “I enjoy my own space” kind of person. Being by myself isn’t new to me—it’s my comfort zone. So while others were learning how to stay indoors, I was already a seasoned professional.

Honestly, if there was an award for “Best Prepared for Quarantine,” I might’ve been nominated.

The Plot Twist: Online Shopping

Now, while my lifestyle didn’t change much… one thing definitely did:

My online shopping.

It went from “I’ll just grab what I need” to
“Well… since I’m here, let me also get what I think I need… and maybe what I might need in the future.”

Suddenly, everything was just one click away.
No lines. No stress. No leaving the house.

Dangerous combination.

Packages started showing up like surprise guests I didn’t invite—but somehow paid for.

The Realization

At first, it felt convenient. Even fun.

But eventually, I had to pause and ask myself:
“Do I actually need all of this?”

That’s when I realized—comfort can quietly turn into overindulgence if you’re not paying attention.

The Adjustment

So now, post-COVID (or at least post-peak chaos), I’m working on being more intentional.

Less impulse.
More purpose.

I’m learning to pause before I click “buy now.”
To separate needs from “this looked good at 2AM.”

And trust me… that takes discipline.

On a Final Note

COVID-19 didn’t drastically change who I was—it revealed parts of me I didn’t fully notice before.

My love for solitude? Confirmed.
My ability to adapt? Solid.
My online shopping habits? …still under construction.

But growth isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about being aware—and choosing to do better, one decision at a time.

Peace!

Quote of the week

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
